My aunt came 15 minutes before our New Year's Eve dinner with a big bag of tortilla chips and said, "Do you have any dip?".
We didn't have anything prepared, and even though it was good enough on its own, the chips need one more thing: SALSA!
My mom and I used to make homemade salsa before so it shouldn't be problem, unless you weren't expecting to make it so soon and not knowing if you had all the needed ingredients. But hey, I managed to make a quickie version of the salsa in 15 minutes' time with whatever I could find in the fridge, so there XD

- 1 juiced calamansi
- tomato sauce that was left-over when we made spaghetti
- tomato paste (same as above)
- ketchup
- chili pepper flakes from Yellow Cab (left-over and stored a few weeks ago)
Directions:
Dice tomatoes, onion, sili and peppers and simmer over low heat with a little water.

Add tomato sauce, ketchup, chili flakes and calamansi juice. Add tomato paste to thicken the mixture.
Allow the whole thing to simmer until the tomatoes are mushy and the sauce is thick. Normally there should be less of the sauce and more of the solid ingredients, but we had to stretch everything thanks to the 4 tiny tomatoes left in our kitchen :p
