My boyfriend stumbled on this recipe about a year ago when making a special holiday dinner for his parents.
This simple drink requires just three ingredients but is really yummy and perfect for the holidays, which was why I decided to make it for our Christmas and New Year dinners. It's also perfect for parties because the taste is mild enough even for those who cannot tolerate the full-bodied flavor of red wine, and the additional ingredients can make one bottle go a long way.
| Ahhhhhhh... |
Ingredients:
- Any brand of Red Wine (preferably a genuine, full-bodied wine)
- Soda (Sprite or Seven Up)
- Orange, sliced into quarter rings (you can also use lemons, grapes or strawberries)
Place orange slices in a pretty glass container.
Alternately pour in red wine and soda, stirring and tasting until you get the desired taste (it's up to you how many parts of each you'll put, depending on whether you want the red wine taste to be more prominent or if you want it to be more soda-like)
Chill well, then serve.
